2025 marks a special year for Harrogate Theatre Choir as we celebrate a 15 year love affair with musicals. Following a triumphant opening night of our Anniversary Concert ‘15: The Musicals’ in Harrogate earlier in the year, we are thrilled to announce that we are taking our musical extravaganza on tour to various venues across Yorkshire.
Join us on Sunday 29 June 2025 at the iconic Masham Town Hall, nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales, where we promise an unforgettable afternoon filled with the magic of musical theatre.
This special anniversary concert, generously sponsored through THE HECK! COMMUNITY FUND, promises to be a memorable occasion that brings the community together through the love of music. The HECK! Community Fund is a relatively new initiative which offers support to charities and other causes through cash donations, volunteering their skills or by offering products and prizes. We are so grateful for their support.
True to our ongoing commitment, our concert tour is more than just a showcase of talent. It is a heartfelt endeavour to raise funds for local charities that are meaningful to the towns in which we perform. We are proud to announce that this event will support Mashamshire Community Office, an independent charity that has been a cornerstone of the community for over 20 years, connecting residents and businesses to information, services and support.
The partnership between Heck! and Visit Masham is already a strong one, with Heck! making available their community minibus for monthly excursions, a vital social enterprise project. The initiative, with the incredible support of local volunteer drivers, allows residents in Mashamshire – some of whom have limited access to public transport – to venture further afield, encouraging them to explore and socialise beyond their immediate surroundings.
We are renowned for our captivating performances, and have a history of sell-out shows, ensuring that this concert will be an entertaining and uplifting experience for all. Attendees of the concert can look forward to an exciting repertoire of well known songs from both classic and contemporary stage and screen productions. Musical theatre fans will be delighted by selections from timeless shows like Les Misérables, Evita and Wicked, to name just a few, as well as fresh hits from some of the more contemporary musicals that have been wowing the West End in recent years, such as Waitress, Moulin Rouge and Dear Evan Hansen.
Audiences can expect an afternoon brimming with musical brilliance and heartfelt performances.
