Catherine Field-Leather
Musical Director
Classically trained pianist, organist and singer, studying through the Royal School of Music and Trinity College, London. Catherine has studied under leading musicians including Rene Waterman, Louise Marsh, John Scott Whiteley and Andrew Padmore.
Running her own music practice in Harrogate, Catherine teaches piano, singing & theory from beginners to Grade 8 and beyond. She started playing the piano at the age of ten, and the organ at thirteen. As a professional church organist, she plays for weekly services and throughout North Yorkshire for weddings.
She is also the Musical Director of other local choirs and ensembles.
As well as performing recitals, she is in demand as a piano accompanist for exams, festivals and recitals.
In the role of arranger, clients include Mulberry, for which she was commissioned to provide music for their online marketing celebrating the launch of their Vienna flagship store. A member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians, she is currently studying with the Association of British Choral Directors.
She is also one half of the 1950s/60s jazz piano & saxophone duo LOLA & THE LIZARD.
Passions include Bach, jazz, classic cars, vintage clothing and pilates.
