Welcome to Harrogate Theatre Choir
We are an eclectic group of people who have one thing in common – we all share a passion for singing and performing! Add a brilliant Musical Director and a repertoire of glorious songs from stage and screen, and magic happens! Based in the beautiful spa town of Harrogate, we perform in both our local area and across Yorkshire. Our repertoire can range from Hollywood film classics to favourites from the greatest West End and Broadway shows.
Harrogate Theatre Choir is a mixed SATB performance choir that attracts singers who enjoy a vocal challenge. Renowned for our vibrant and intricate harmonies, we create our distinctive sound through four, six and eight-part arrangements. We’re an enthusiastic, ambitious and supportive group of singers, allowing us to maintain high standards and take immense pride in the exceptional and unique sound we produce.
As well as directing and hosting our own concerts, Harrogate Theatre Choir is available for private bookings. We’re a versatile bunch, and we can always tailor our repertoire to suit a range of events, including parties, corporate gatherings, community functions, award ceremonies, as well as artist support.
Many of our concerts and performances involve raising funds for local charities and other good causes. In addition, half the proceeds of our debut album ‘BINGE’ are donated to MIND in Harrogate District.
Harrogate Theatre Choir has had many milestones throughout its history. Performing and supporting Daniel O’Donnell at Harrogate Theatre in 2017, taking part in the Opening Ceremony for the UCI World Road Cycling Championships in 2019, recording our debut album ‘BINGE’ in 2020, and performing at The Royal Hall for the Harrogate Hospitality & Tourism Awards 2023. We were proud to celebrate our 15th Anniversary in 2025.
