“I have always had a passion for music and, having passed Grade 8 piano and flute when I was at school, I used to spend hours playing songs from the musicals on the piano with my best friend Sam!

After  I left school I decided to start singing so that I could join the Huddersfield Choral Society when I went to University, as a voice is so much easier to carry than a piano! 

I have since performed with many choirs both in the UK and France and, more recently, I spent 14 years singing and competing with the Leeds-based White Rosettes, which is a European and British Champion barbershop women-only chorus.

My passion for musical theatre has recently brought me to the Harrogate Theatre Choir. We sing a fabulous repertoire at a very high standard and, furthermore, they are a thoroughly lovely bunch of people. And to top it off I get a huge folder of musical theatre music to keep me busy on the piano at a weekend!”
